Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally put my grief into words," posted Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he doesn't recollect "any day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles court official agreed to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order placed a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

In the wake of the deaths, public personalities offered different responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan described the comments as "disturbing" and implied they revealed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to speak on the death was made.
