The Initial Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Xbox fan sites have started writing regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company remains determined to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The two games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Come mid-January, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. Yet, this selection are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — rendering them ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
