Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the community. From the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the game's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many past Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Mega Medicham

Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds very similar to a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also known for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Super Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to select Pyroar for the king of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, even if for extraterrestrials.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly small jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Aloof air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
